    I like how he begins with “Let’s be realistic.” Okay.Look, if someone was going to kill you no matter what, he wouldn’t hold a knife to your throat for a few minutes and then kill you. If killing you was his plan, he would have done it before you had the chance to do your fancy little martial arts moves.

    I agree I wouldn’t try this technique starts off ok but I think going straight into a wrist lock is better gets the knife away and you can control your attacker. I’m going to have to try this and figure something out.

    I think that after controling the arm the best is to try kote gaeshi.Otherwise having the knife so near our vital ares is not safe at all.

    Agreed but with an untrained attacker kote gaeshi would definitely seriously injure the wrist. But would be reasonable in the situation. I have tried self defense options in this situation since my post but its been a while. had surgery not to long ago. But cant wait to begin training again.
