You are refering to the technique applied break the fall; it helps a lot if you´re being thrown hard. Theres also a lot more details for the technique to work properly. But I can assure yout that it´s not intended to impress the audience by “making noise”.

If you can’t do this you can always lift your hands up between his arms, separate his arms by quickly putting pressure on the inside of the elbows, quickly wrap your arms arounds his arms and put them under your armpits then pull him towards you and knee him in the gut. Then you just push them away afterwards and it’s back to square one. Of course you have to do all this quickly, it’s worked for me before.

Your hips have to be below your partner’s That gives you a good fulcrum and your partner’s body is the lever. You also have to get him off balance (That’s the pulling the arm down part). A small person can easily throw a big person using correct judo technique.

The more big your opponent is, the more noice when he falls down ;)

anyone that says you can’t throw a big guy is lying. The bigger they are, the more weight and momentum you have to work with, once you have good technique you’ll learn that bigger guys are actually easier to throw.

Exactly, just because you personally don’t know what your doing and have perfected your technique dosnt mean its not possible. I train with several of my friends, im the smallest, yes if they get ahold of me I will get throw around like a rogdoll, but if they lock me they fall alot harder and im more adgile
